Millions Knives - A gonosz ikertesó
Anime: Trigun
Horoszkóp: Kos
Millions Knives (ミリオンズ・ナイヴズ, Mirionzu Naivuzu?) is one of the few fully sentient Plants and Vash's twin brother. They are both born during a mission to further the human race and are taken care of by Rem until Knives disrupts the course of the ships, causing them to crash. This event was known as "The Big Fall". While Vash believes all beings have potential for good and deserve life, Knives believes in the survival of the fittest. In the manga, after discovering experiments performed on another sentient Plant, Tessla, and watching movies of human history, he decides that humans are evil and grotesque and that they need to be eradicated, though most of his hatred of humans comes from their misuse and murder of his own kind. Vash does not agree with his plans and seeks to stop him and show him that humans can progress, while Knives seeks to dissuade Vash from basing his life around the "idealistic nonsense" preached by Rem and to join his side.
Knives has Plant abilities similar to that of Vash, except centered around his left arm as opposed to Vash's right. In the manga, Knives' "Angel Arm" is a near-infinitely extending and branching series of blades and scythes capable of cutting through anything, while in the anime it's a large cannon similar to that of Vash's, only Knives' beam of destruction destroys organic matter instead of inorganic matter.
Many years after landing, the two meet in the city of July, and the face off leaves Knives in a very critical state along with the city being completely destroyed. In the anime, this event is also where Vash loses his left arm and Conrad dies. He slowly regenerates over a period of time, and forms the Gung-Ho-Guns to act for him.
In the manga, after he revives and learns that he is slowly dying by using his Plant abilities, he decides to focus all his remaining energy into eliminating mankind from the planet. He begins to fuse himself with other Plants, increasing his power exponentially. Soon after, he launches an airship, the "Ark", and begins absorbing plants and eliminating towns and cities. As he absorbs more and more Plants, the ship breaks apart revealing a monstrously huge entity composed of thousands of Plants, a collective consciousness controlled by Knives. Its power is so great it can warp space and time by teleporting short distances and destroy several highly advanced warships.
After their climactic final battle, which leads to humans being able to communicate with and see the memories of Plants, Knives realizes that his ideologies weren't completely correct as humans rushed to aid and nurture the beings so they wouldn't die. As Vash attempted to save Knives from the wreck, Knives ended up saving him and searched around until he found someone to heal Vash's wounds. His hair completely black and his power totally gone, Knives disintegrates in the wind after planting a tree to help a human family.
